Pilar Almalé performs at the Basílica de la Virgen de la Peña de Graus

The singer and violagambist Pilar Almalé gave a concert in the Basilica of the Virgen de la Peña in Graus. It was attended by the two hundred university students who participate in the JUP and dozens of Grausians.

Pilar Almalé performed on Monday at the Basilica of the Virgen de la Peña in Graus. The violagambist and singer made a musical tour explaining to the audience different curiosities about the viola da gamba and its musical tradition. The composer from Zaragoza is an expert in early music and managed to combine various musical pieces with brief explanations. She is also preparing the release of her next album, her first solo album.

Among the audience was María Antonia Casas, director of the Municipal School of Music of Graus, and the two hundred university students who are celebrating these days the 40th Edition of the University Days of the Pyrenees in El Grado, Barbastro, Alquézar and Graus. The show was very well received by the local public who expressed their satisfaction at the end of the event.

The academic plan of the JUP ends these days with the concert of Pau Morales in the Plaza Cruz de Buil in Alquézar and the conferences of Marcelo López and Begoña Urien in the Bodega Laus. On Wednesday they will celebrate the closing dinner at the Gran Hotel Ciudad de Barbastro and a final show in the Plaza Sur of the Diocesan Museum of Barbastro.
